Jeremy studied Fine Art and Design at Norwich School of Art. Having had a rich and varied career in both art and design as diverse as commissions for large scale murals throughout Europe, apartments for Arabian Princes and an African Princess, Fine Art advisor to Shell UK, presenter on television design programmes and many private commissions and articles in magazines and periodicals. One of the benefits of Jeremy's wide interests in the history of art and design, combined with research into the use of advanced technology in acrylic mediums and materials has lead to the development of techniques to utilise the properties available in an innovative and creative way. This learning curve suggested the potential for using these skills and techniques without the usual perceived boundaries. For example, manipulating the fast drying properties of acrylics to create realistic marble, or working wet into wet acrylic medium to create cloud effects and trompe l'oeils. This subsequently led to invitations to teach in college to both young and mature students. He and his wife Evie ran successful art and design courses in England as well as their own design company for many years. Jeremys approach to teaching is to work together with each student to give confidence and aid them to develop their artistic potential. Combined with colour theory, perspective and drawing techniques. The main theme is to enjoy the experience whilst learning new skills and techniques in a relaxed and perfect environment for artistic development.

Evie is Jeremys right hand man ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A designer for all of her adult life, her passionate interest is house and garden design, her biggest challenge transforming the extensive wild growth around the cortijo, and discovering the delights of Spanish cooking, which you will savour during your painting holiday. She will be on hand at all times to answer your queries, arrange activities for non painting partners, and generally help to make your stay a special memory.
