What we do at Arco-Iris-Spain
Courses run for one or two weeks from Wednesday to Wednesday and are limited to only six or seven people to allow for individual tuition. Our aim is to offer a totally relaxing and enlightening experience for beginners or the more knowledgeable artist with as much or as little tuition as you require in peaceful surroundings. Whether you prefer to work in watercolour, acrylics, oils or pen and ink you will be guided by Jeremy as you discover inspirational techniques to achieve your aspirations. The basics of colour theory and drawing techniques will also be covered. Always with the emphasis on fun. Tuesday will be a day off to visit a local market, rest and view the incredible scenery, finish off paintings or simply stay at the cortijo and chill!
Itinerary
Arrival should be arranged for after 3pm Wednesday. Tapas and refreshments will be available upon arrival, followed by siesta, relaxing in your private courtyard or exploring the extensive grounds. Later we will enjoy supper outside and get to know our fellow guests.
After breakfast on the terrace the day starts at 10.00 with an informal discussion about plans for the week. This will enable you to become accustomed to the stunning surroundings and discuss with Jeremy what you would like to achieve during your weeks stay. Everyone can work at their own level, whether beginner or experienced, always with the emphasis on enjoyment. And as our Painting holidays are limited to only six or seven artists this will enable everyone to experience individual tuition. A simple delicious lunch will be followed by siesta, highly recommended for re-energising. Painting then continues until evening. Supper is around 8pm
The end of your successful week is normally celebrated with a barbeque and ample vino!
